The main power supply board in short we call it (SMPS) the error you got is quite common that the main power is not getting in to the transformer in the correct voltage. Normally is to replace the SMPS and the fuser as well.

For more Technical test on the SMPS 1st of all we will test the fuse on the SMPS which is located at the bottom right hand corner. using a multi-tester, 2nd will be the capacitor and 3rd which is the last will be the big and small transformer with power on. note the last test is dangeroures unless you are a electrician experts.

Best of luck!

I have problem with HP laserjet M1522nf

Fuser is bad... The heating element within the fuser is either burned out or not properly connected. This is a service replaceable item and may cost you more than the entire printer. Be sure to get a quote before repairing as you can easily exceed the price of a new machine.

Initially the machine showed a fuser error. after opening the machine moving the fuser back and forth and restarting the machine did a self diagnostic and came back with the message - "machine error,...

Press menu, start, menu and the up arrow one at a time in order. Maintenance should appear in the display. Arrow down until you see 82 and then press the menu button. A machine error number should be displayed. After getting the number press the stop key to get it out of maintenance mode. The error that is displayed will determine the problem. What number do you see?

I get a printer error message: "50.2 Fuser Error Turn off then turn on." I have done that but I get the same message again and again .. Could you help please ?

I not sure what machine you have, if you can inform us that would help at little bit, as to find you a part number. However what this 50.2 is telling you is the fuser is bad. You can re-seat the fuser, and the connections to the fuser. Most likely you will need to replace the fuser.

What does the fuser do?
The fuser, fuses or bonds the toner to the paper at a very high temperature.

The fax shows a messages saying "open heat error"

On this machine, you may have a fuser assembly that is bad. Replace the fuser modual.
If this doesnt work, then the main board needs to be replaced.
Also what most people forget is the fuser fan. Sometimes it turns slow and you will not even notice it. It might not even turn at all.
Replacing the fan will solve most problems, but if it still does not turn on, Look on there to see if it has a small circuit board on the fuser fan, replace it too.
if all else fails the main board needs to be replaced.
Good luck

Any heat errors on the dell 1815 means the fuser has gone bad. Your best bet is to replace the fuser, part # UG297. Here is a video that shows you how to replace it. Iteminc.com has these in stock and ships same day (till 7pm est). Hope this helps, Good luck!
