At operating temp, check the heater hoses, with the heat on, if the hoses are both hot. exit hose could be a little cooler than the inlet side, still they should both be pretty warm.the coolant that goes through them is approx 190 degrees to the inlet. if they are not hot, the coolant is not circulating through the core or the thermostat is stuck open, or its low on coolant

You took the hoses off the heater and ran hot water through the heater and it still wouldn't heat??? Is the fan running?
Ignoring your diagnostic attempts, I would say they left out the thermostat, or possible crimped a heater hose, or pulled off the water valve actuator cable or line. If you ran hot water through the heater core and still didn't get any heat, the laws of thermodynamics have abandoned you.

2001 Blazer Replaced heater core now water pump is squealing and seems like low circulation

my 98 Blazer I had to replace radiator water pump heatercore and hoses. Had head gasket go. Once that happens air and dexcool corrode cooling system. Do you smell antifreeze? Are you loosing antifreeze? Check oil see if its another color not clear or black but i think light brown. Have you flushed out system?

I HAVE ANITFREEZE LEAKS FROM MY 2000 CHEVY S10 BLAZER. IT'S HARD TO TELL BUT THE LEAK SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM UNDER THE MOTOR RATHER THAN FROM THE RADIATOR OR ANY HOSE I CAN SEE.

a common V6 failure is the intake manifold gasket. coolant will usually leak behind the water pump on the drivers side, however it can leak at other locations on the intake manifold gasket.

coolant leaks from other areas include the heater core, hoses, expansion plugs, trans cooler, and coolant overflow tank.

Heater not blowing heat only cold

Check the coolant level. It is common for the intake gaskets to leak causing the coolant level to drop. The first thing to stop working when the coolant gets low is the heater. Top off the coolant and determine where you are leaking coolant whether it be the intake gaskets, hoses, radiator, water pump, etc.

If the coolant is full what does the temp gauge say? Once the vehicle is warmed up it should read around the 200 degree mark. If its below 190 than the t-stat is stuck open. Replace the thermostat.

If both of those are fine and the coolant looks like mud than your heater core is plugged. You can try back flushing it with a water hose. Remove both of the heater core hose and use a water hose to flush out the heater core. This may take several tries before you start to feel some heat.

My blazer started this morning but was leaking antifreeze on the ground. I don't think its the water pump. could it be the intake manafold gasket? it seems to be leaking at the front of the intake.

It would either be the intake gasket, thermostat housing gasket, upper hose at the thermostat housing,or the heater hose that enters the intake.

No heat before or after replacing thermostat

Remove both of the heater core hoses. Using a water hose, force water through the heater core in the smaller hose connection first. Chuncks of rust or mud looking stuff can plug the core. Move the hose to the other connection then go back and forth a few times until the core is clear of debris.

Check the engine for coolant leaks before doing anything. Fix any leaks. Check the intake gaskets and the radiator cap.

Had to replace upper and lower intake gaskets because of water leak in the crossing water journal. when took apart the 1997 chevy blazer ran fine other then the leak.once i got it put back to gether truck...

You may have had some water migrate into the cylinder through one of the intake runners causing a spark plug to foul. You will need to remove the spark plugs to see which one is fouled.
