One of your buttom scanning bords is dead or it needs to be cleaned or simply reconnected properly , at the buttom of your plasma tv you have 2 to 4 small boards with flex connecters one of these flexible connecters will be adjacent to the black line ,replace entire board because it cannot be repaired

SOURCE: WHAT CAN I DO TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER--PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE???

Are you using a cable box? If you are then it maybe setup incorrectly. If not, See if when you press the MENU button if the screen is filled. If it is ok then, then the plasma panel is good, but the video processing is possibly bad. Have you tried all video inputs? Let me know more info and i can assist more. Have a good one. Jay

SOURCE: Black Line on Samsung TV Model # HPR-4252

This is a screen address failure from part of the matrix addressing. This can be caused by fair number of types of faults to cause a missing part of the addressing. You will not be able to fix this yourself.

Find out who the authorised local Samsung service is for your area. They will be able to give you an estimate.

SOURCE: 42 inch samsung plasma tv black vertical lines

Hi, Depeending on the thickness of the lines matters. If the lines are Black and about 1-2 inches thick it may be a bad bottom buffer board or a bad panel (screen).
If the lines are thin 1/16 to 1/8 inch it is most likely a bad panel.
You can open up the set and depending on the model, see the thin board/boards running across the bottom with ribbon cables going to the panel. You may be able to attempt reseating the ribbon cables, but be careful as some retainer plugs break very easy.
If the lines are thick black and the reseating doesn't correct it you may be able to buy the coresponding buffer. Unfortunately some bottom buffers are actually part of the panel. If you are not comfortable taking it apart then call a professional but be aware labor charges start around $200 not counting parts, panels start at $600 up to over $1000
hope this helps
Thanks
Eric

SOURCE: I have a Samsung 42

There is no color wheel or lamp in a plasma TV.

The problem is most likely the lower buffer " E ". It controls the right side of the screen. Worse case, it could be the Logic Board. A Service Manual for you TV will have the part number for replacement. The manual will also give you procedures on how to replace the part yourself. The service Manual for your TV can be found over the internet for less than $20. This is the best do it yourself manual you need for repairs on your TV. :)

Samsung TSL2793HF - Slight Right Side Pincushion and Horz Line Bottom to Top Until the TV Warms up

Yes, this is rare but I have seen it before--not fixable if it is what I think it is----It is what is called a Dome effect---the shadow mask in the picture tube is actually contracting and or expanding depending on temperature---

Directly behind the phosphor coating (the stripes that you see on the screen) is a metal screen--the holes or perforations in it line up with the stripes on the phosphor screen.

Some masks either have a material or a defect causing the dome effect----Not likely to be anything else---a Pin amp problem will not usually act the way you describe but a shadow mask inside the picture tube will act exactly that way.

Big black square in middle of screen picture top to bottom about 36 " wide good audio and picture 6" on right and left side displaying.

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

Black line about 1 1/2 inches wide down side of faxes or copies

if your RECEIVED faxes look good, then leroyal is dead on. you will need a new CIS which stands for contact image sensor. if you have an authorized brother service center nearby, they may be able to do it for 100 to 150.00, depending on their pricing of course. if rec'd faxes are bad also, pull drum out and make sure the blue tab on top of drum is all the way to the right side, although that usually only leaves about a 1/2" black band.
