Sounds like a video cable issue, i would change your video source cable and if that does not do the trick, try switching inputs all together, if your using color stream 5 strand go to HDMI, DVI or svideo.

No picture, no sound, but TV will power up

Average life on all brands and models is 3 to 5 years. Average repair on this size and type of set varies but is usually from 150 to 250 parts and labor. I see very few sets of this type (any brand) that are more than 6 years old.

The bulk of sets in our shop (over a hundred sets on average) that have failed are under 2 years of age.

Vs 6041 - no picture day 2 days after installing direct tv

Is it only the input that has the direct tv connected to it that has no picture, or do you have no picture at all on any inputs? If you are able to watch a dvd on say AV1 or input 1 but have no picture on the other input that has the direct tv box connected to it I would call direct tv and have them look at your box. If you have no picture at all then it is your tv. and it being 10 years old it is almost a natural failure a strange occurrence that being it happen right after you got satellite.

NO Picture On 2 Video Inputs ( 1 front 1 rear ) : Sound OKAY

Since it is 5 years old mostly dry soldered appears. First sort out the soldered problem. Then check zener diode in video input path is short. Mostly the diode is short. Still get problem check video switching ic also. I think former is the most problem.
