Is there anyway to fix a convergence error on a Viewsonic projector PJ820. There is a dual image because at least one of the three color images is not meeting the other two. This gives it an out of focus appearance with a reddish tint on the edges of images. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Convergence error on viewsonic projector PJ820
Your gonna need to get a service manual from the manufacturer and do a convergence alighnment with the on board generator. Unless some unknowing hands have been inside the unit.?? Contact them here at this link Good Luck [email protected]

The image is made up of three polarisers, one tends to fail causing a problem with the image. On average it may cost £300 per polariser to be fixed. As you know these days you can get a projector for that price as everyone now wants HD and 3D. I recently bought 7x NEC NP115 for just over £200 each. Very good spec, auto power up (Which was important for what I needed)
you cannot display an image over a wireless network to your projector. All you will be able to do is control the projector through wireless. The image signal has to come from a cable input such as hdmi or vga, composite or component. This particular projector though HAS to be hard wired to allow wireless devices to control it anyway. So you idea of sending a wireless signal to view images from your laptop will NOT work.
Hold the FN+CRT/LCD or (it could be an icon/image of a screen) simultanesouly and then keep press the CRT/LCD key it should eventually get around to displaying an image on just the projector or projector and laptop screen
You can connect it either thru the RCA Composite output(yellow) of your DVD or thru the S-Video or even thru the component out(YPbPR) connections. In the component out you would require three RCA cables and would give you the best possible picture.
