I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II; when I choose cold water, it takes at least 2 hours to fill the tub. Warm water will fill but the cold water comes out in two very small streams. Any help would be appreciated.

You likely have either a folded cold inlet hose (squashed) or self plumbing tap that is rusted in the cutter so slow filling or a blocked mesh filter in the cold hose connection on the back of the machine, try all three and you should have the answer.

Hello,

What i believe the problem is,is that the solonoid that opens the cold water side of the water inlet valve is very weak and hardly opening the valve on the cold side...and the water inlet valve needs to be replaced.

Firstly though before replacing the valve, turn off the cold water tap, remove teh hose from the back of the water inlet valve and check for sediment in the filter screen that is blocking the water from coming into the washer...if you dont see much sediment in the filter screen the water valve will indeed be the problem

The part number for that water valve is 285805 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;
searspartsdirect.com
apdepot.com
partselect.com
repairclinic.com
apwagner.com

This youtube video will show you how to replace that water valve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk4puRv3Vk8

My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Washer doesn't stop filling with water

If this only happens when the machine is turned on,the tube from the tub to the water level switch is pinched or broken. If the clear plastic tube is not pinched or broken, the water level switch in the control console is bad. If the machine lets water through when it is in the OFF position, the water valve where the hoses connect are bad.

The cold water trickles in to fill the tub

sounds like you have checked the water coming out of the cold water so the fill valve requires replacement

My washer machine Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L is leaking water when I fill the tub with water. I opened cabinet and there is a small white box below the tub that is dripping water. My questions are...

is it filling filling filling and not stopping. or will it fill and stop when it is supposed to. if it's fill fill filling could be a hole in the pressure hose or a faulty pressure switch. but if itt does all the cycles and is leaking you probably have a bad pump tip the unit back a little so you can see under but do not tip all the way you will see the pump. see if it leaking if so replace tha pump.

Whirlpool ultimate II water level problem

does it still fill when you unplug? if it does then the fill valve is no good.if it turns off the check your hose going to pressure switch.will be a small clear hose going from tub to your pressure switch.

Overflow - Cold water shutoff not working?

Sounds like the cold water valve is faulty. You can try to remove it and clean the inside if it's clogged or replace it completely.
