To manually defrost just unplug unit from power outlet for 12 hours,it will automatically defrost.But if these problem is occurring again n again then issue is with defrost assembly parts,the defrost timer,the thermostat and temp sensor in freezer section causing the problem.

If your ice maker was leaking before and after the valve replacement, it is likely the ice maker that is at fault. The ice maker energizes the water solenoid, its not a pump, which then opens to allow the pressurized water flow up to the ice maker. If the valve solenoid has been replaced, the culprit is likely the ice maker itself. The valve should only be open for about 7-9 seconds, but if the ice maker motor is slow, or if there is some other malfunction with the ice maker, it will energize the valve for too long, causing it to then overflow. It could also be a hairline crack in the ice maker mold that is causing it to leak.

Are you having any temperature related symptoms, i.e., soft ice cream that appears to have melted slightly and refrozen, soft breads in the freezer, warm or hot outer surfaces anywhere? If cooling is not a problem whatsoever, are any of your ice cubes smaller than normal, or do you have hollow ice cubes; you would be able to crush the cubes in your hand? If either of these pertains to you, you have not enough water coming to the ice maker, due to a faulty water valve not opening completely, or your water source pressure is low. disconnect your water line from the fridge, test pressure of the water line by placing end in a bucket, turning water on. It will be obvious how the pressure is. if pressure is good to really good, you have a bad water valve on the fridge. If pressure is so-so to bad, change source water valve.
If cubes are not small nor hollow, but rather normal full size cubes, just not enough, you probably have an intermittent problem with your icemaker, replace that.

Water valve is a dual valve. One for water, one for ice. Switch the wires to test.

These units need to have the evaporator coil cleaned routinely. A cleaning solution can be obtain at a refrigeration outlet. Another common problem is the ice thickness is out of adjustment and the ice gets too thick and will not come loose on the defrost cycle, check the thickness.

look inside ice bin to see if auger wheel is broke,sometimes the plastic wheel cut and break,hope this helps-mike
