Re: player says loading and then says no disc!
First try to clean the lens as if its not played very much a film of dust or grease ect ect can be on the lens. If that dosent work then your gonna have to clean the lens maually If you wanna take apart the unit you can then very carefully clean the little lens in slow circular motion BUT BE CAREFULL. if that dosent work the palyer may have went out of alighnment or the laser assy is defective. Good Luck

Tries to play more than one DVD disc.Tries to play many DVD disc should be original DVD disc ok no DVD+R copying disc ok.If ur are still getting signal just saying loading signal awhile than say no disc show up, and u did playing it with many dvd original disc.Than the DVD player laser eye reader could be ditry.Tries websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy a DVD disc set that said like DVD players lasers eyes cleaners.Used it as directions said,if u still getting the same result mean ur DVD player laser eye reader it is dead, not worth repairing the DVD player if the DVD player laser eye reader it it dead, because the laser eye reader it is 90% important to the DVD player unit and the cost of it by replacing it will cost the same as a new DVD player unit.
I have the Denon 2900 (about 4 years of use) and until recently, suffered from the same (growing) problem. CD's were very difficult to start/read. I recently found advice which I tried and was succesful with. It was manually cleaning the laserlens. I took away the outer housing by unscrewing all off the on top (6), side (4) and the back (2) bolts. After that I took out the top plate of the laserunit which took two very little screws taking out. Now you are looking at the cd-tray with the lens. Take a very soft and clean cloth and moisten it a little bit with clean water (be very carefull with the moistening, don't allow any waterdrop to come out of the cloth into the laserlens while cleaning! Carefully clean the lens and dry it with a dry part of the same cloth. Replace the top plate and the outer housing and the player will recognize the discs like it's new again. Good luck!
