I have two EOS 3000n's and with one of the cameras i put batteries in that have definite charge, and it just flashes one symbol on the display whenever i press anything or move the wheel. I use the same batteries on the other camera and it works fine but this one just does nothing. Do you know whats wrong?

SOURCE: Battery Charging light doesn't flash and battery doesn't charge

I have the same problem. Worked for 3 years and now the battery charges to green but goes dead immediately. I've changed batteries. Its the camera not the batteries. Works fine plugged in. Obviously the cameras are not charging the batteries. Canon must know but I cannot find a fix and warranty is over. I guess buying the expensive camera of the day isnt always assuring you of quality.

SOURCE: not sure of exact problem

The charger may not be charging the batteries properly.
The batteries you are buying may not be good.
There may be a fault in the camera where the voltage is not being properly regulated.

Your best solution would be to take the camera to a camera service center to have everything properly tested to resolve the issue.

Flash stopped working

No, the battery is the same as you use to make all the other pictures. To check if your flash really does not work, please put the camera in automatic (green camera symbol and hold your hand in front of the lens while pressing the shutter button (to make it look dark) The flash should pop up and should go off.
When you don't put the camera in auto, it expects you to tell if the flash should fire or not.
If your battery is bad, or almost empty, it can't charge the flash, so it won't fire either.

Busy flash picture and 3484 code

When showing busy, most of the time the camera detected an error, but can't find out what is causing the error.
Try the normal "reset" method as follows:
Like a cold boot for a computer, the camera can be "rebooted"
follow the following steps:
Switch of the camera and remove the battery.
Remove the memory card and the lens. (if possible)
Recharge the battery. Wait till the indicator on the charger indicates the battery is fully charged.
Check all contacts, if they are clean and shiny. Contacts (from battery and memory card, only to be cleaned with a dry cloth or cotton swab(s).
Reinsert the battery, reinsert the memory card and re-attach the lens.
Then switch on the camera.
If this does not help, contact a certified Canon repair centre.

The busy symbol appears when taking a picture when flash is used. why?

Most likely it is charging up the flash capacitor. The busy symbol should turn off when the flash capacitor is fully charged.

I'm trying to find out if the Canon Eos 3000N 35mm SLR camera has manual Aperture, ISO and Shutter speed control's? Can you help?

Although the 3000N relies on batteries for all functions and has various auto exposure and DX film coding modes, you can override and manually select all the exposure functions you have mentioned.
