Alien is right, pull the Radio Fuse, then put it back in and eject the CD/DVD. Happens to me sometimes with burned DVDs, seems like the player is picky on the CD/DVD media. Rebooting the device (by pulling the fuse) is the only way to eject it.
On some DVD player there is a little pinhole next to the opening or tray in case the disk or tray won't eject. You can unbend a paper clip and insert it into hole and see if it will eject. If not you will need to remove radio and have it serviced.
Your vehicle is not that old, take it to the dealer and see if your radio is still covered under warranty.
If you can see the CD Drive icon in My computer, it shows that at least Windows recognises the drive. If you are unable to see the drive listed in explorer (not the cd name but the actual drive icon), then please post a reply.
Other than that, you are describing what I think may be a faulty drive. If you open the case, check to see if the drive cable is in good contact with the connector and motherboard.
There reasons why your DVD tray won't eject
1, a cd got stuck inside
2, Motor belts are loose
3, Loading motor faulty
4, Main loading gear damaged
5, Somebody must have pushed the loading cd tray forcing it to load and waiting for it to load the cd by its self so it has jumped its setting .
If so you have to remove the loading tray and put back correclty then it should load by its self .
The fuse size shouldn't matter with the low voltage problem you are describing..Fuse size should be 10A fast blow(AGC). Verify that you have a good 12v power source feeding your unit...your dimming problem is voltage related.
Be sure NOT to load any CD+ -R,CD+-RW or DVD+-R,DVD+-RW to this unit. Try to load up a standard CD see if there is audio first. If so,try a good(not scratches) dvd movie. If you have tried both and still not working. You need this unit to be repair or buy a new one! Joe
