Hi,
my printer (OfficeJet 6110) often stops printing from my PC (i.e. I print something, I see it in the queue but nothing happens). These problems started after I tried to use a ONELevel print server and share the printer between my XP desktop and Vista laptop. Now, I have put the printer back on the XP PC and share it with the Vista laptop but I get the problem above again.
I have removed all HP softeare from my XP PC (even used HP scrubber) and tried to re-install software but the installation program stops (crashes?) with no warnings. The same happens if I use the original CD that came with the printer.
Any suggestions?
Try a complete uninstall:
Unplug the USB cable from your PC.
Go to Control panel add or remove programs. and delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)
Then open my computer> C:drive> Program files> and delete the HP Folder only (not Hewlett Packard)
Then Open C:drive> Program files> Common Files and then delete HP and Hewlett Packard folder.
Then Go to C:Drive> Windows> Temp and empty the temp folder as much as you can.
Then go to Recycle bin and empty recycle bin.
Then Insert the All-In-One CD and cancel the installation process.
Open the content of the CD> and open Util folder> Then CCC> Then click on Uninstall_L4 and follow the on screen process.
After all restart the computer.
And if possible download the latest printer driver from HP website and install the same
Let me Know if any problem
Good Luck
