I have recently moved and can not locate the remote to my TV and can not turn it on. Is there a reset button so that I can? The buttons were turned off on the front of the TV so that my 9 month old daughter couldn't mess with them, now I can't even mess with them.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV.
Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on
the TV and see if it works..
With the TV power cord plugged in, press the 'INPUT and 'MENU' buttons at the same time -- use the buttons on the front of the TV, NOT the buttons on the remote; a diagnostic Error Code Operational Check will begin, utilizing the 'POWER ON' LED (the green 'POWER ON' indicator light).
There will be a pattern of two sets of flashes, with a pause in bewteen flashes; this sequence of flashes will be repeated a total of five times.
The Error Code designations are listed below:
Error Code Description
12 No eror has occurred.
21 X-Ray Protect circuit.
22 Short Protect circuit.
23 Horizontal Deflection failure.
24 Vertical Deflection failure.
this tvhas a built in safety feature, fuse, sometimes you can hear a faint popping noise when you turn the tv on and it shuts down. This feature was designed to prevent power surges from hurting your tv any more than it already is. You will have to have someone repair the small problem you have now and reset the tv. 10% of the time you can try holding doen the menu button for 10 seconds and/or unlpugging it for 4 hours to do a hard reset. This hardly ever works though. It will probably cost you about 200 to 500 to fix it. sorry
