Question about Sony KV-20V80 20" TV
Actually my tv model was KV-20520 i saw it labeled at the back panel, my problem is it won't power on, i already check the fuse but it wasn't blown. i can't figure out what seems to be the problem, i can't take it to the repair shop because most of the repair shop here doesn't tell what the real problem is. they just repair and charge you a lot for parts replace & services. but the truth is they don't replace anything. i hope you guys can help me, thanks & more power.
C ant find a manual or even that # KV20520 but there is a KV20v80 and is available from sam photo fact and is downloadable too at a cost of $22.00. The biggest problem that plaguesmost sonys are the regulator IC in the power supply the horizontal output transistor and the flyback or the cold solder joints on the horizontal driver trans former. Your gonna need to do some static checks in the tv to see if you can find something open or shorted as your not going to be able to "look and see" something bad.if you ubnderstand TV technology then go for it BUT if you dont you can be seriously killed if you touch the wrong thing. Good Luck
