I too have a similar issue, after taking unit apart and watching, the spindel motor sticking. So, replacement of that module might be needed. I have yet to pull the module and see if it's a belt or dirt. Will post more if proves so or if I can get a replacement module for reasonable cost.
Either a disk problem, or a player problem. If you get the "no disk" message when using other disks(try originals if you were trying burnt), that aren't scratched, then it's possible that the lens needs cleaning. open the player, locate the lens, and gently brush off any accumulated dust. If you see none, then it will take a more serious repair, possibly to the motor assembly, or the lens mechanism. Good luck

I have the same problem, but don't want to try to open the player to find and clean the lens. Is this a difficult task?
