I own an older 35 inch sony trinitron tv. It isn't the WEGA and is an older tube style tv. I bought it about 8 years ago from Best Buy. Yesterday, the tv simply turned itself off while watching it. I tested the outlet and tried a different outlet, no luck. Any ideas? Thanks.
First thing that comes to mind is that the horizontal driver transformer has bad solder connections on the primary and the secondary windings. Also a set this old could also have a defective regulator IC if you dont know wht m saying , b=est thing to do is find out how much an estimate is then go back to best buy and see what a new set cost cause man you got your moneys worth outa this one for sure!!!!! Good Luck
