Hi milsyr, 1. switch on the printer
2. Lift the blue/gray latch on the cartridge carrier and remove the cartridges you need to
replace.
3. Remove the pink tape from the new cartridge.Hold the cartrige so the label is face
forward, and the words are facing you.
4. Slide the new cartridges into the print carriage.
- The color cartridge goes into the left side of the carriage and the black
cartridge into the right side of the carriage.
5. See that you slide the cartridge underneath the metal bar and then push it down
into place with your fingers.
6. Close the cover on top of the cartridges and make sure the latch is secure.
7. Close the printer carriage door.
8. Press ok on the front of your printer.
- An alignment print will follow.

THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK!

Bought used HP 2410 from Amazon. Unit is displaying print cartridge problem on far right cartridge. Unit came with ink cartridges installed and I notice ink has spilled. I performed a detailed cleanup but...

Remove the right cartridge and check if the spring on the right came loose. When it pops out of position it tears a hole in the ribbon cable at the back of the holder and then you need a new printer. If you can find a carriage assembly it's over $200.00.

Hp psc 2410xi photosmart all-in-one printer.

Here's what I found when this happend on my two 7410's. Take a look at where the ink cartridge slides into it's holder. Shine a flashlight on the circuit board at the rear. You will no doubt find it has a puncture in it that breaks the little tracer wires on the board. The culpret is the tension spring arm. It likely has come off it's base support and when that happens, and you install a new cartridge, the cartridge will push the tip of the tension wire g right into the circuit board. After you fix the circuit board, apply some silicone glue to the spring base mount to hold it in place.
