If you are using Win Xp - click on start then settings or printer & Faxes.
Double click your printer and delete all the pending printing jobs on the list. Turn the printer off and on and it should be fine.
Hi there I have the HP printer & I think it's cool! My software disc got broke though so I downloaded the settings from the net but I don't get the printer icon on my desk plus I don’t get the scanning options any more. Can some 1 help me plz? My email address is[email protected]

To connect your PSC 1317 printer you need to install the software onto your computer and as you did not provide me with the operating system I will provide you a weblink from were you need to navigate to the exact operating system and follow the onscreen instructions.
Press the sequence of front panel buttons below to start the print cartridge alignment process.
button-press sequence must be completed within ten seconds. It might
take several tries to complete the sequence within ten seconds.
Press and hold
Check Print Cartridge
lights begin to blink simultaneously, release both buttons.
Color Start Copy
The alignment page will begin printing.
If the alignment page does not print, repeat the button-press sequence in this step.
When the alignment page has printed, place the page face down on the scanner glass and press
The alignment is complete when the
light stops blinking.

you didn't describe your problem briefly.
1. Check if you photocopy anything, it is coming out correctly you are doing. it means your scanner is perfectly allright.
2. if you are not able to photocopy with this printer, it means your scanner is not working properly.
But if it photocopying properly and in windows it is not scanning it means software is not working properly, try to arrange new software from anywhere and try.
