hi, the handle bars are connected under the headlight assembly. these things are a nightmare to take apart, but very cool when running. usually i rewire with a forward reverse switch mounted on the gas cap. the swich harness on this model is notorious for failing, usually the thermal breaker...so i always bypass it.here is a link to expolded view of the parts so you can get an idea how to disassemble and put back together.
good luck!!!
There is an authorised Peg Perego spare parts supplier and service agent in Sydney. They also send parts interstate. Their details are at www.karlisles.com.au or you can email your required parts request to [email protected]
With the handle at the rear of the stroller, look down and you should see a "1" lever on the right and a "2" lever on the left. First depress the "1" with your foot, then depress the "2". You should feel the stroller disengage. Lift up a little on the handle and the stroller should show you how it wants to fold in half. On the inside of the handle on both sides, you will see a plastic loop. These should go around a plastic part that is protruding right by those loops. Good luck.
On the back of the backrest there is a **** in the fabric with a metal handle/lever. Pull up on this lever to adjust the backrest in numerous positions, including laying flat.
have the new handles but how to replace them... shouldnt be rocket science.....
