Ever since my boyfriend deleted a couple of photos on my camera, when I go to download it to my computer, it no longer registers which photos have already downloaded...it's now loading down over 500 each time. Can you advise on what I can do to have the camera recognise only new photos HELP! & thank you for any advice you can offer (I have an Olympus T-100) Julia

I suggest you to download all the photos to the computer (Copy to CDs if you want) and delete them from the camera.
From there onwards you will be able to see which photos have been downloaded.

Go online to camera maker's website and download the driver needed. This will help you transfer photos.

I have had success with this... Download this camera image recovery program called asoftech photo recovery

Normally, file deletion only renames the first few symbols of a filename so its not recognised, it doesn't actually delete the file.

Try downloading a free file recovery programme to your PC. There are a couple on Filehippo.com
PC Inspector File Recovery 4.0 and
Recuva 1.36.479

There's another freeware progarmme called
Undelete +, but I'm not sure where to get that from.

Follow your nose through the recovery process but ensure you recover files from you Camera and recover to a new folder you've created on you PC.

If you recover back onto your camera card/memory you will probably overwrite the very photo's you're trying to save.

My boyfriend formatted my camera and deleted all of my pictures, and then took a few new pictures. Is there ANY way to get these pictures back? THANKS!!

High end forensic software can often recover deleted files, but at great cost - the last time I had this done (to a hard disk drive), the cost was over $1200! Once deleted, pictures are essentially and for all practical purposes lost forever. Unless you synced your camera with a computer before the format and copied the pics to the computer. The lesson here: copy your pics to a secure location, or don't lend your camera to the boyfriend!

DELETE ALL PHOTOS When I download the photos

Connect your sony camera to your PC, then click start, computer. Then find the icon for sony and double click it. Now you can delete whole folders or indivitual pictures.

you can recover pictures from camera with camera photo recovery software like asoftech photo recovery. Take the memory card from camera and then connect the memory card to computer with a card reader, you can then download asoftech photo recovery and use the program to scan the memory card and recover your lost photos.
