Hi guys,I have a sony wide screen projection tv,kp-57ws510,It's not turnig on,the only thing i get is a litle red light flashing in front of the tv and a clicking noise in the back,Any ideas? I'll appreciate yor help.

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

2 Things can cause this Red Tube needs to be adjust down on screen drive control or you need to replace Both of your STK ICS. Sony has alot of problems with Defective Tubes.Red and Blue Shorted out the most.

Sony KP-57WS510 has 3 layers front screen and I do not know what layer is broken. Part number of all 3 screens are as follows.. count it as front, middle and rear screen layers..

4-090-881-11 SCREEN (57), CONTRAST (KP-57WS510 ONLY)
4-095-924-11 PLATE (57WL), DIFFUSION (KP-57WS510 ONLY)
4-081-950-11 PLATE (57WFV), DIFFUSION (KP-57WS510 ONLY)

hi, you`ve lost your convergence ic`s, unless your very proficient at solder work I`d advise you call a tech, will require removing 2 large IC`s and possibly a few small support parts, resistors, chemical fuses etc. Every place is a little different but runs approx. 300.00 at my shop, gl, video-tek

you will need to replace the two STK392-560 ICs and also check the 4.7 ohm 1/2 watt resistors and the six 3.5 amp pico fuses.

Yes replacing the ic's should solve it. It worth a try if you want to spend the money
