Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Water Damage! I droped my phone down the loo (DOH!) and everything on it seems to work, apart from the screen. It was switched on at the time. I have since tried to turn it on, and no joy. I have tried drying it out, any suggestions? The keypad appears to be working fine, just no picture on the screen. Is it worth sending it to be repaired?

Its probably behond repair as Im not sure what you paid for that model but there sell here in the states for 79.95 US. I kind guessed you were not in the US as you said loo!!(he he} just a luck guess I guess/?

Might be your phone LCD has finished its working capability or some loose connection is going on......dont do any thing.....just show ur phone to a technician and get shorted.

Hi,

As you probably already know, water damage is not covered under your warranty. My little trick works 95% of the time. Take the phone apart and dry it out with a hair dryer.

If it still doesn't work, you might get the warranty honored if there is no apparent water damage.

Backlight won't come on after water damage.
The only thing you can do is to dry it out.Remove the battery panel and battery.
Wipe inside battery compartment and battery with kitchen towel, then move all pieces to a warm room(not on radiator) and leave for 24 hrs.
Then fix in battery and battery panel.Turn on ,that will be the best as you can get this phone. Fingers crossed for you.

LG Dare water damage
how long has your phone been in rice? 2 days? that is how long it is supposed to be in rice. you could try recharging the battery for how ever long it takes for it to load. but those phones are pretty delicate so unfortunately there is a good chance its gone.

I switched on and the welcome screen appear, and suddenly the mobile turn off again...
i dropped my phone down the loo. it driedin rice. i chagrd it and it wouldnt turn off. you'll find the power button is broken. everything else works fine. to get it on, i had to remove my pin code. - annoying. but i got it on. i had to do this by putting the sim in a diffferent phone. i then found it worked as mine wouldn't turn on. check if it works iwtout your sim in..

Droped my phone into water while back trying to fix it now and goes to blue screen and says bootloader usb init
if you did not take the battery out as soon as you pulled it out of the water it is probily no good because the circuit board was fried from the electric current that the battery was feeding the phone. but for future ref. if droped in the water remove batt asap and take phone apart and dry with a q tip and put back to gether and let it sit for a bout a day to let all the water get out of the phone and then place the batt back in it and turn it on.

Water damage
ye got the same prob guys just droped mines in the tiolet! like an hour ago, it comes on speaker vol. goes crazy and touch screen dosent work! i can only make a call to the last person but they havent answred. i see like moister on the sreen ,kinda foggy like. taking a blow dryer to help the situation. well ill see and get back w you guys to let you know the results.

hi,

    this might be because the water has entered in the inbuilt software of ur phone..so do one thing open ur phone as much as  as u can..put it in sunlight for 2-3hrs continuously ..it will dry up all the water/moisture  from ur phone and then try  & if it doesnt work than u need to go to service centre.

Motorola Razr v3 stuck in mute mode. Finally find mute switch during a call, turn it off , says mute off with green arrow and then it reverts back to mute! No idea how phone got stuck on mute! Impossible to get mute to go off. Made a call & got the mute setting to finally come up & I turned it off - it says mute off, green arrow shows. Then it reverts to mute again!
