SOURCE: RED LIGHT KEEPS BLINKING..WAS LIKE A POWER SURGE

Surge protectors aren't perfect... If the surge was big enough and long enough then it can cause problems. Most manufacturers have on-board protection as well. That's not perfect either. Often the surge does nothing more than confuse the microprocessor (computer) that controls all aspects of your television. The fact that the red light is blinking means that your set is trying to protect itself. This can happen for one of two reasons. Something in the set has failed. Usually the power supply inside the set possibly also a trouble in the scan section of your set. These are normally a shop repair. The other thing is when the microprocessor is confused it will do nothing further until it's reset. To reset the processor simply unplug the set from the wall and wait 10 minutes. Plug it back in and if it works then happy viewing. If it doesn't then you will need a repair.

If is a failure caused by a failure in the grid that delivers power to your set then you are usually able to file a claim for the repairs. Contact your local power company. explain what happened. If it's their fault then usually they will pay for a repair. I know the PG&E does.

After power surge panasonic hdtv projection tv model # PT-53WX42F wont come on red light flashes

Bobbie, It dose not sound like surge protector was real effective, the TV will have to come apart to diagnose what has all blown, capacitors, boards etc. Google search can help show how it is done.
Enter all your TV's info, will not power on repair.

Power went off will not turn on. When I replug tv in the red power light blinks for a monment then all power if gone. Is there an internal breaker? I was attempting to plug the jacks to my sterio through...

If the red light is blinking then the internal main fuse is good...sounds like the switchmode power supply regulator has gone bad...you may need to have a repairman look at it as it may be extensive due to power surge.

TV won't turn on when push power button red light flashes

You can unplug the tv for 1 minute and then plug it back in since you have a red light you know it is getting power, also don't plug it into a surge protector when trying this. If the tv still has a flashing red light a service center will need to repair the tv, replacing more than likely the power supply or small signal board.

After a momentary power outage Panasonic LCD TV has a flashing red light and will not turn on.

Try using a different outlet, the outlet or the tv may have been damaged in the surge. In the case of the tv contact the manufacturer and see if it's still under warranty. There may also be a way to 'reset' the tv by holding the power button down, try looking in the manual or calling customer support. In the future use a surge protector, many of today's electronics are still sensitive to power surges, older tv's were more resilliant than today's in this regard.

Tv won't turn on

I suggest you unplug the set for about 15 minutes and then plug it in and try again. Sounds like you may have had a power surge/bump in the middle of the night. Althoguh you are using a surge protector, doesn'r mean the devise hooked to it can't lock up during a power surge.( Surge Protectors are an insurance policy only, not a garrentee ). If unplugging the set and waiting doesn't fix it, it will need to have the power supply section of the board repaired. Good Luck
