Its a lil pricey but its actually an issue with the faceplate...the display has to be replaced.Its a common problem on the pioneer decks with the motorized faceplates. look on ebay for just a faceplate.
this happens because the contact between the sceen and the unit are dirty, try to clean the contacts, I had the same problem and it happens because the motorized screen is moving all the time when you need to change a cd or have to take the screen off from the unit.
This sounds like the voltage regulator in the alternator of you car is the problem - take it to an auto repair electrician and get him to check it, as this may cause all sort of other problems too
