SOURCE: WD-52525 Red lamp Indicator

usually with that model when you get a 34 eror code for lamp abnormality, its directly related to the capacitors on the Power Pwb. You can get the V26 Power PWB repair kit at the following link which repairs that issue. It contains the replacement High temp capacitors with the board location numbers and PWB identification as well as the service manual on CD. Heres the link its under their repair kit ctegory.

SOURCE: RED LAMP LIGHT!!

Check to make sure your lamp is not blown.

Make sure you installed a Mits original, and not a generic.

Make sure the lamp is seated and secured properly, as slight movement can cause a loss of connection.

Slide your set out to the side and peer into it through the slats. Can you see the lamp fire on?

Your symptom does not indicate that it could be a problem other than the lamp and the installation thereof, however---there is an instance where 2 capacitors will blow on the power supply and cause a red lamp light to show. Furthermore, the light engine itself could be causing the problems.

But, since you just installed the lamp, I would look over your installation.

Hello my name is Devin, I have a wd-65735 model and I just purchased it off of a friend and braught it home. He had told us from laying it on its side while bringing it home it said in the guide to let it...

Caveat: I am not a tech, I just read through the Mitsubishi service manual, and have worked on different model TV that I have owned (older model of this one) I am a little unclear on the second set of lights but I think the combination *may* indicate that the lamp fan is not starting (there are two fans though), if the blinking red is the status light. It is possible the connector for that got jostled during the trip, something fell into it from being on the side (wire or loose something) and is blocking it from spinning now, or a module unseated a bit,and is loose, or the lamp is no longer seated correctly (though the lamp light does not appear to be on) or none of these. :) These are just guesses.
Be careful if you open it up, due to potential for shock. Wear gloves, and power it down first (then unplug). Reseat any fan connectors.

Google: I used "wd-65735 status lights" to find a service pdf , it's for V39 chassis (several models)

From page 24 of Service Manual :

Pressing the front panel "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds, activates the Error Code Mode. The "TIMER LED" flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem has occurred since the last Initialization.
Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

I just replaced my bulb on my mitsubishi wd-65736 but picture is still dark looking and the bulb stays lit up after we cut the TV off. Could I have hooked the two wires up wrong?

This site lists your service manual for $7.99
https://www.completeservicemanuals.com/mitsubishi/dlp-projection-television/wd-65736-service-manual/prod_1408.html

This site claims to have a free PDF download, but the "free download" link throws you to www.tradebit.com, which sells the service manual (as a downloadable PDF file) for $7.99
http://www.promanuals.com/serviceparts/mitsubishi-wd-60735-wd-65735-wd-73735-wd-65835-wd-73835-wd-60c8-wd-65c8-wd-73c8-wd-65736-wd-73736-service-manual/

This site sells your TV service manual for $5 as a .PDF sent to your email:
http://tv-part.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=1369

If you can read/use a service manual, $5+tax is a lot better than $hundreds for a new television. Or- buy the downloadable manual, and give it to your favorite electronics friend to peruse. The darkness coming from the new lamp might bespeak of a power supply problem, or a poor connection between the lamp and the power supply. The fact that the lamp module stays on after it should go out also says power supply problem.
In the worst case, keep both your lamp modules (they're probably both good), and sell them online to help defray the cost of a new television.

I have a mitsubishi WD-52725. the red lamp light was on and I replaced the lamp. the red lamp light came back on after replacing with a new lamp. Could there be another problem

Yes the capacvitors on the power board can cause the red lamp light and a 34 error code. The V26 Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually solve that issue. The kit contains the upgraded caps and the CD with instructions for the repair.
