Due to a very strongthunder storm two weeks ago many of my neighbors computers got all kind of damaged. my problem with my dell dimension b110 is i dont have any sound or volume

Hello download the driver here at dell:

Open the audio folder, and download the driver.

Run the exe program, and reboot after the install is done.

check the bezel/power button
try to open the tower but you have to make sure that its unplugged/ after unplugging the power cable press the power button for about 5 secs to drain the flea power then check the power button maybe its broken or the cable connected to the power button to the main board is damaged or loose.

you have to insert your restore disk and reboot your computer, at startup your cd should start right away, click on restore to factory, and follow on screen instructions

You need the CD to assist and utilize any restore data that may or may not be on your hard drive.

Lay your computer on its side with the computer cover facing up.
If your computer cover has a cover latch, slide and hold the cover latch.
Grip the indents on the computer cover, and slide the computer cover toward the back of the computer.

while the pc is booting up hit F8, it should take you to a sub menu, choose "last known good configuration" and hit enter, see what it does.

You can either try to reset the BIOS, or have the restore cd fix it for you. By the way, what does the message say?
