After over loading the blender making salsa, it shut off automatically. After unplugging it for 30 minutes, I plugged it back in, tried t start it up. The only thing it does - all three speed selection just blink after one another while nothing turns on, just brinks at you. I could find any motor reset and since it blinks, it has power to the blender.

SOURCE: Blinking lights on KitchenAid blender

Alternating blinking lights on a Kitchenaid blender indicate a bad circuit board which is unable to run the motor properly. Unplug the blender, take the jar off, and turn the spindle by hand. Then plug it back in. If it does not work properly, try a different outlet (perhaps not in the kitchen). If nothing works, the blender needs to be repaired.

SOURCE: blender blinks

need to resolder the triac located on the Printed circuit board this part is on an aluminum heat sink, and the third leg is most of the times the one with a broken or poor soldering joint due to the vibration of blender

SOURCE: Kitchen Aid blender

to see if its the Triac or just the off button perform this: connect the blender, while pressing the off button press the on button; if the blender stays on and you dont hear the relay function (Light ticky sound) maybe the off button get a broken solder point. But if the relay is functioning and there is no way to change the speed the problen is the TRIAC. This is a small piece on PCB with a heat sink

SOURCE: I have a Kitchenaid blender

When the lights are flashing, this does indicate that an electronic part has failed. This blender is no longer manufactured, so finding replacement parts for it may not come easily. Repair centers are available. I would recommend calling Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what they can recommend for you.

Their toll-free number is 1-800-541-6390.

Where can I get a replacement fuse for my Oster precise blend 12?

Hello, Frances -

Your question landed in the Fixya.com category of Furniture. I re-categorized your question to the Oster Blenders category.

I found the following information regarding Oster blender built in fuses:
(Quote)
The built in fuse protection has kicked in. To turn the blender back on, first turn the control knob to "Off" and unplug the unit from the wall. Then remove the jar from the base and free the blade of any obstructions. Next, press the external resettable fuse button on the bottom of the base. Wait 30-45 minutes for the unit to cool.

Question: My blender shut off during use. What happened?

If you try that possible solution and the blender still does not start, then . . .this is the link to the Oster Contact Us page:
https://www.oster.com/customerservicecontact?cid=contactus

At the very bottom of the page you will find toll free Customer Service phone numbers.

Or . . .

Fill in the form there, asking about the availability of a replacement fuse for your model of Oster blender, so that you can send an email message.

Best wishes.

The best way to clean your blender

I used to hate using my blender. I could make great smoothies or hearty soups but after I was done, I hated to clean it. The blender would be covered in small seeds or other small pieces of food that were stuck on. Plus, I'd be terrified of the cutting myself on the sharp blade (even when the blender was unplugged.)

So here is what you do:

1. Boil enough water to fill the blender.
2. Put a few drops of soap in the blender and plug it in.
3. Pour the boiling water over the soap in the blender, cover it and turn on.
You can let the blender run for two minutes, until it is clean or until all the little pieces are removed from the sides.
4. Rinse out with water and repeat if necessary.

And there you have it, using a blender just became a little easier.. since the cleanup is no longer a hassle.

I turn the blender on and a blue light turns on, blender isnt functioning, is it burnt out, is there a reset button besides unpluging it for a few minutes?

Unplug the blender. Use a baking soda and vinegar solution to clean the metal contacts on the bottom of the metal blender blade. (You will see a small circular inverted washer looking thing). Use the solution on the main blender unit also. (You will see a small circular metal piece in the center) Scrub them both with the solution and wipe. These seem to be some type of sensors. I then replugged the blender back in and it worked for me!! Good luck!

My K-Tec Champ HP3 is overloading and shutting off after about 5 seconds even with the jar empty or not even on the machine. It just starts up and shuts off (displaying "OVERLOAD" on the...

Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the base, release the 4 clips on each side and remove the bottom cover.
There is a fan blade attached to the bottom of the motor and a sensor on the side of it that senses the fan blade turning. If the sensor does not sense the fan blade turning, it assumes that the motor is locked up or 'overloaded'.
Check that the fan blade has not come loose from the motor shaft and reattach if necessary. Verify that the sensor is secure in it's housing next to the fan blade.
Reinstall the base cover and verify operation.

The pulse light is blinking, but the blender will not work

This worked for me - only took about 5 minutes (the amount of time it took for me to google Black & Decker and search through their FAQ)

Q. My blender stopped in the middle of blending. What happened?
A. Your blender has a motor overheat protection system that will automatically shut off the blender when it has been running too long with a heavy load. If this happens, unplug the blender and wait 10-15 minutes to allow the motor to cool down. Plug in the blender and resume blending.
