This older vcr still produces good vidio,
however there is a problem with the audio.
The audio quality is ok but the volume is
very low.The TV volume must be set to max to
hear comfortably.
Any suggestions???????? Gilbert

Have you tryed to clean the ace head??? The ace head means audio-control-erase. and is on the right side of the mechanism. this head looks like a big cassette type head and is statioary. This head can be cleaned just like an 8-track{remember those??}or cassette head by applying rubbing alcohol to a q-tip and clean the head from top to bottom. this head also may need cleaning if your tapes seem to speed up and slow down for no reason and at random. Thats because the lower part of the head is the control head and that gives the machine pulses to tell the machine what speed the tape is recorded in then the capstain motor has an fg sensor(freqency generator} and they all go thru a comparitor and the sum of both pulses gives the machine the proper speed setting. Hope this was laid out in understandable english. Good Luck

The DLP does not have a flyback but if rear inputs work hook cable b o x there via audio/video cables or use a VCR (does not have to play tapes) via its av jacks to one set on back of tv.
If Video rear inputs are good but antenna, coax are not B Y P A S S the problem.
Hello Check its speaker first. If voice coil of the speaker or tis cone paper has damaged, speaker will produce a dull low sound output. If the speaker is found OK, check the audio output section of the unit. This section circuits can be located inside the TV circuit board. look for any loose or bad soldering terminals at the audio output IC. It is best to resolder all the suspected solder points by applying a little more solder, withut making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals. If this also does not help you, replace the audio output IC. It is damaged. OK.
Some of the Newer VHS/DVD units don't have cable inputs. If this is like yours you can hook a RCA Audio/Vidio cable from your Samsung TV Vidio/Audio outputs (if set has them) to VCR/DVD inputs................... Larry
try this unhook it all start over first hook the cable box up to the vcr witch would be the wire that says out of the cable box gose in to the ant on vcr the tv cable from the vcr gose to the back of the tv the dvd player gose into the rca jacks on the rear vidio audio in just match up the colors make sure all cables that screw in are snug up as it will degrade the signal if to loose then go to set up in the vcr and if it has a auto option for set up use it . hope this was helpfull
Very likely the VCR audio head is dirty which will give you muffled or low sound on play. Remove the the top cover & using a piece of non-abrasive cleaning cloth & a head cleaning fluid gently rub the audio head to clean it. The audio stack sits to the right hand side of the deck, it is usually a siler block which will be placed in front of a black roller. The head is on the side of the stack facing toward you, give this area a wipe, try a fresh recording & then replay the new recording to see if the sound has improved.
The sound quality from an HDtv could very well be better than from a lesser-quality TV. The sound from the headphones can only be as good as the signal that feeds it.
YOu should have your our from your cam to the input of your vcr and the output of the vcr to the input of the tv... then simply set your vcr to the input channel that your cam is connected to ans it should show up on the tv, if it does not hit the tv/vcr button on the remote ... hit record and our done

YES, DOES YOU PACIFIC VIDEO HAVE COMPONENT , COMPOSITE OR HDMI OUTPUTS ON THE BACK ? THE HDMI HAS BOTH AUDIO AND VIDEO SIGNALS AND IS THE BEST QUALITY PICTURE. BUY THE CABL AT RADIO SHACK, WALMART ETC.
COMPOSITE IS THE YELLOW RCA CONNECTOR FOR VIDEO AND RED AND WHITE RCA CONNECTORS FOR LEFT AND RIGHT AUDIO.COMPONENT IS THE RED, BLUE AND GREEN RCA CONECTORS AND RED AND WHITE FOR AUDIO L & R.
There may be an audio adjustment in the dvd player that wasenr set up at the factory correctly. depending on how old the unit is I would contact the manufacturer and see if its under the factory warranty as you DO NOT wanna go inside and start turning controls as this will or could throw the entire alighnment out of the dvd player. I(f theres no warrantee then you could ask them if theres an audio output adj and what the pot # was. Or else your gonna need to get a service manual and throw ya back a few bucks. But my guess is that if you bug the service guys enough they will tell you where the adjustment is. Good luck
