The tv was probably on its way of failling as you put on the extra surge as plugging in a set is more of a current draw as the switching supply starts as does the sweep suppys for a split sec. Then goes into an idle state and that means its still running but waiting for power on command from the micro to start up the rest of the set. Now to your problem? HHHMMM could be the switching regulator as If my memory is correct there should be a regulator kit for a bad power supply. The only way to tell is knowing how to open set and trouble shooting the power supply by unsoldering the regulator to see if its shorted . If its not then the power supplys probably but not always good. Then i would disconnect the horizontal output to see if that was shorted and go from there. Good Luck

Luxor 0143001 - no power?

If your Luxor 0143001 TV was working fine and suddenly made a popping sound and stopped working, it is likely that there was a power surge or some other electrical issue that caused damage to the TV's internal components.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the power outlet that the TV was plugged into is working. You can test this by plugging in another device and seeing if it powers on.
  2. Check the power cable: Make sure the power cable is securely plugged into the TV and the power outlet. If the cable is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in to ensure a secure connection.
  3. Check the fuse: If the TV is still not turning on, there may be a blown fuse inside the TV. You will need to open the TV and check the fuse. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, it is best to take the TV to a qualified technician.
  4. Check for other damage: If the TV made a popping sound, there may be other damage to the internal components. You may need to take the TV to a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the TV's internal components have been damaged beyond repair

My digital tv is saying no singal whats the problem and how do I fix it? we have a huge antenna on our roof

1 – Is the NO SIGNAL issue happening on just one TV?
CORRECT INPUT or SOURCE
If it is just one TV that is showing the NO SIGNAL…
-Be sure your TV is on the correct source or input as your CABLE or SAT BOX.
-Press the TV button on TV remote control to turn your TV ON.
-Press the INPUT button on your TV remote control.
-Cycle through all the inputs on your TV.
-Do this until you are on the INPUT your CABLE or SAT BOX is plugged into.
-You should then see the CABLE or SAT programming show on your TV.
HINT: Your TV will most likely list the TV INPUTS as: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, VGA, Component 1, Component 2, and so on.
If you still see NO SIGNAL on your TV screen, see the next step below…

2 – If you have your TV on the correct INPUT or SOURCE and you still see NO SIGNAL…
CABLE OR SAT BOX NEEDS RESET
-Remove or unplug the power cable from the Cable TV or SAT set top box.
-Keep it unplugged for 2 to 3 minutes.
-Plug the power cable back into your Cable or SAT set top box.
-Give it some time for the Cable or SAT box to power up, get the signal, and initialize.
If you still see NO SIGNAL on your TV screen, see the next step below…

3 – If you have reset the Cable or SAT box and still have the NO SIGNAL…
UNPLUG THE CABLE GOING FROM THE TV TO YOUR CABLE OR SAT BOX
-Remove the HDMI cable or other cables from your Cable TV or SAT set top box.
-Keep the cable unplugged for 2 to 3 minutes.
-Plug the HDMI cable or other cables back in.
-Give it some time for the Cable or SAT box to get the signal and initialize.
HINT: Make sure all the cables that are connected to your Cable or SAT box and your TV are tight, undamaged, and secured.

4 – If all of your TVs are affected with the NO SIGNAL screen…
BE SURE THE COAX CABLES OR ETHERNET CABLES ARE SECURE or CABLE OR SAT IS DOWN TEMPORARILY
-Be sure to check the ones where the CABLE or SAT come into your home.
-Be sure ALL Ethernet and Coax cables are secure.
-Call your CABLE or SAT provider to see if there is an outage.
-Realign your Dish if you have SATELLITE.

On my e-motion tv when I switch it on and go onto did it says no signal....help please

Why does my TV say no signal? If your HDTV or Standard TV displays a "No Signal" error message, it may be due to one of the following issues:
  1. Determine how many TV's are affected.
    • If it is one TV, continue to step two.
    • If multiple or all TV's are affected, continue to step five.
  2. Ensure that your HDTV is on the same source/input as your MTS Ultimate TV service.
    1. Press the TV button on your MTS Ultimate TV remote control.
    2. Press the TV/Video button.
    3. Wait 10 seconds.
    4. Repeat steps b and c continually to cycle through all the available source/inputs on your TV until the correct source/input is selected. (ie. HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Component 1, Component 2, etc.) On standard TV's (non HDTV), you may have only 2 choices, TV or Video.
  3. If the source is correct from step two:
    1. Unplug the HDMI cable from your MTS Ultimate TV Set-top Box.
    2. Wait 30 seconds.
    3. Plug the HDMI cable back in.
    4. Wait for the signal to initialize.
    5. Make sure all cables connected on the set-top box and your TV are secure.
  4. If the problem persists:
    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the MTS set-top box.
    2. Wait 60 seconds.
    3. Plug the MTS set-top box back in.
    4. Wait for the signal to initialize.
  5. If you are still experiencing a problem:
    1. Make sure ALL Ethernet and/or Coax cables are securely in place.
    2. Unplug the power from the MTS box labeled 2Wire or Pace as well as the affected set-top boxes.
    3. Wait 60 seconds.
    4. Plug the power back into the MTS box labeled 2Wire or Pace.
    5. Wait for the broadband light to turn a solid green colour.
    6. Plug the power back into the affected set-top boxes.
    7. Wait for the signal to initialize.
Good Luck

RCA F19421 Stuck on video since switched from dishnetwork to cable

Some RCA TV's have a "video" option that requires you to use the original remote control to cycle up or down the channels.
Also, try unplugging the TV's from the power receptacle for 30 minutes....some times, that will cause the TV to reset.
With the power cord unplugged, manually push the power button on the front of the TV to discharge all capacitors.
Ensure the 30 minute is complete before plugging it back in.
Let me know if this works.
Thank you!

No volume from cable

Hello!
First step: reset your cable box by unplugging of the power supply or unplug power cord of the box. If that's an old fashion big gray one or black one with additional power outlet for TV set, there is a power cord goes into. Unplug it, then plug it back in within 1 minute. not the TV itself, but the cable box's power cord. This will reset it. If you have more modern one or small one for non HD TVs, they have external power adapter, which plugs into those boxes.
Pull that plug out for a minute, then plug it back into. That should take care of your sound issue. Known problem.
Good luck,
Let me know if that took care of your issue.
thanks,
Alex.
