Do you have more than one instance of the printer installed. If that happens the computer gets confused and don't know which one to print to. Also only one can be active if you have two instances of the same printer and you could be printing to the inactive one. Click Start/Control Panel and check your printers to insure that there is not more than one instance of the same printer installed.

Also check down at the bottom right near the time and if you see the printer icon open it and clear out the queue. If you've printed to an inactive printer the queue will block you so just delete or cancel the items in the queue.

Also check your printer properties to make sure it is printing to a TCPIP wireless connection and not a usb connection.

Please try reinstalling your audio driver.

There is a little switch on the front where all the little lights (LED) are when your cover is open.

It should slide right side and lights up a little LED confirming your wireless card is turned on.

I've ran into that defect repairing these laptops and its a crappy motherboard issue, my wife daughter bought her pavilion dv 9000 over and i put my wireless card that was working in hers and it wouldn't even see that one.

The motherboards are junk and all HP is doing is replacing it with updated ones that doesn't have that problem with the faulty wireless card slot.

ones you have found the correct one you then need to choose the Software and driver downloads, you should find the driver there.

INSTALL HP WIRELESS ASSISTANT AND CHECK THE STATUS OF THE WIRELESS ADAPTER.. IT MUST BE SET TO ENABLED

make sure ya have a VISTA compatible Driver for ya wifi ... go to manufactures web site and DL latest one for VISTA..

Remove and reinstall most up to date driver... then use ya connection program to set it up.
