Could be a small belt thats keeping the draw from opening or a power supply problem Or maybe even a fault in the slider assy that has the laser on it as if it doesent return to the "home" postions nothing else will work. Good luck

There is typically a small rubber belt or plastic gear that goes between the tray motor and the tray. Most modern units have the plastic gear. I would bet that it is missing a tooth or stripped its teeth or possibly fell off completely. You should be able to manually push the drawer in. To open it, there should be a small hole near the tray into which you can push a straightened-out paper clip.
Every DVD player has a reset function...it is just like rebooting your computer.
For my Samsung, it was to hold in the channel up and down buttons for 10-15 sec with the power on and the whole machine restarts.
Call your manufacturer support line and ask for this option.
