Dryer Won't Start

Cam,
One thing you can check on if the circuit breaker is okay is to see if the drum turns freely. If the belt is still intact, you should have some resistance to turning the drum by hand. Many dryers have a safety in them that if the belt breaks the dryer will stop and not restart until the belt has been replaced. Hope this helps!

Admiral Dryer Model #AGD4475TQ No Heat

This is very rare on a gas dryer but I have seen it. If you have already replaced all that other stuff I would say it has to be inside the timer. On one I worked on once I could remove that orange wire and the dryer would function ok so I ordered a new timer, they sent me a bad timer. Same problem. I finally got a working timer after going through a bunch of mess. That fixed it. So if all the other components are working it very well could be the timer.

its not the timer its your thermal fuse located in the back of the dryer behind the panel if not there it will be in the front at the bottom behind that panel. Its usually placed on the vent outlet housing.

The dryer just stopped working> It's about 4 years old. Working one minute and not the next. no clicking sound when you turn the timer dial. Could it be bad dial?

Not usually a dial problem. First make sure your breaker is not tripped. If the dryer was working fine and suddenly nothing works its usually a power problem. The other problem to check is the door switch. If its not the breaker/fuse panel let me know.

Control panel looks ok but dryer wont start

Sounds like an electronic problem on the timer circuit board.

Dryer won't start

Check the wire leads the motor and make sure they are not burned. I had a dryer do the same thing and the motor lead had burned off the connection lug.

Dryer stopping in middle of cycle but timer continues to run.

oK " It's your timer, it has to be replaced

it's not going threw all it cycles, will start but will not finish

not a big job, unscrew plate on back at the top you will see
timer , take it out and replace it

( can not stress enough that you have to unplug the electrical cord from the wall socket before working on a dryer or any appliance )
