The Cd player just stopped reading discs. When I load them in the tray the player seems to try to read them then it displays NO DISC and tries the next one repeating the same cycle.

Re:
Try cleaning the lens, best way is to open it up and use rubbing alcohol (the purer, the better) with a q-tip. Wait for it to dry, then test it.
If that doesn't work, you'll most likely need a new pickup.

this depends on what make of disc mostly the philips machines only work with their own brand of disc try placing an original disc if thats ok then its the blank cd that you are useing got to be philips brand
Disc stops playing due to tracking error from either a dirty source cd or a dirty blank. It is not the machines fault. Clean both discs thoroughly before recording. Even non visible dust can cause a stoppage. My Sony recorder does seem to be a little too sensitive to dust but it normally works fine.
All players need cleaned from time totime. Do NOT try to clean it with anything other than a CD / DVD lens cleaner. They are available almost everywhere that sellsBlank media. It will clean the lens without scratching or smearing it.
It's likely it's dirt on the CD lens. You can try cleaning it with a lens cleaning disc. But if the lens has been damaged it will never read the disc again, no matter how many times it is cleaned.
hello marc you have a dirty laser, blocked sensor or even a misaligned condition try this clean the lens put a disc and turn it off with the tray inside wait about a minute and turn it on saludos
looks like the tray is offline so basiclly its not reading the first disc because its far away from the eye so by putting another disc in and it reads it because the eye is close enough to read it . u may have to open the player up to get the first disc out. good luck.
hi, check that when the right side tray closes the screen must show up READ or DISC CHECK. the behaviour must be the same as the left side cd deck. if loading is faulty then the cd tray is out of alignment or sensing swithches are faulty. if disc is loading then u have a laser pickup problem or the laser ribbon cable is intermittent or the spindle motor is tired or the laser lens needs accurate cleaning. cheers.
