Question about Insignia I-PD720 Portable DVD Player
What does it do when you hook up a powerpack? i understand its suposed to be portable but the DC voltage may not supply enough to keep it a constant. Could be a bad ground or its picking up some static in the air.

Two possibilities: 1)The pickup or 2)the LCD Screen and its counterparts. By your description, I can't tell for sure. Is it like someone is turning the screen on and off, or does the sound actually get misaligned with the picture? In your case, it probably wouldn't be worth the repair for either as parts for this particular unit cost 80$(US) and up. If it's the screen itself, you're looking at a 200-400$(US) repair.

The sound is perfectly fine, but the picture flickers and jumps constantly.
I have the exact same issue. the flicker appears to be going back a forth from the current scene to the previous scene change. Could it be a buffer issue?
