Lost yellow but "maintenance" gave no diagnosis

System maintenance prograom will not detect any problem... No yellow on the page. Cartidge said 41cc left. did a couple of soft cleanings, then a medium printhead cleaning cycle. Then a HARD cycle. Still no yello. then the printhead icons on front began flashing (all of them). I turned it off and restarted with no errors, etc. Still won't print yello! REseated the printhead - changed yello cartridge, ran some heavy yello content test pages. Then another cleaning cycle. I am very remote from service centers/ metro areas. Help! ....

Sounds like a clogged printhead but I would try the tech 3 to make sure. 800-474-6836

If you want to ECU reprogramming, you should use a OBD2 tool - JALTEST MULTI Diag, it has many functions.


After selecting the car manufacturer, then you can make the diagnosis for the different menus on offer (depending on cars models):

Yellow engine light has been on for 2 days but the car runs perfect. What could it be?

This is the Check Engine warning light (the light is required by law to be amber/yellow, it means that a problem or problems have been detected in the electronic engine control or the emission control system. this control system is called the OBD2 Electronic engine/emission control system. This system has over 200 possible faults that turn this warning light on, what needs to be done is to have the system scanned to see what fault codes are in the memory of the computer (called the PCM), it can be as easy as a defective or loose gas cap on up to Oxygen sensors failing, it is a long list, so the system scan is the very 1st thing that must be done to start the diagnosis.

1315v printer , Printed one pic. now says check print cartridge.

clean the tab circuit of the carrier or the cartridge holder..
and then run a maintenance page..using the printer panel..
go to maintenance section ..and select clean printhead..or maintenance page..

and then print an alignment page..
to align the cartridge..

please let me know if it solve the problem..

check your print cartridge has not plastic strip stuck on bottom side of it.
recoonect all connection then try.

Colour problem

Its related to some problem in your cartidge get it replaced if it is in warranty peroid and always use hp original cartidge

Disconnect the communication cable (USB?).

Turn off the printer, wait one minute then turn it back on,

Then press the left button on the panel, the transparent one to the left of power button. It will print a status page. Check the dates and information under each color that is failing.

The ink cartridges MAY be outdated. Printing the test and information page without the computer connected fools the machine since it can't get your computer date.

If the cartridges are outdated, then change your computer year back to 2005 or so, reconnect the printer cable and send something to print, once the printer prints it out, reset your computer to today's year.

You will need to do this procedure whenever you turns off the printer. (Disconnect cable, change computer year, print, reset computer date).

Hope this works.


When printing in color a yellow line appears on document

A horizontal line U say and U don't have problems in B&W pages.... ( on the length or width af a A4 page?) the yellow line is just a line or parallel lines at the same distance?.
1-st of all try replacing the Y cartidge.
