This is usually caused by a defective component in the tape detection circuitry and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

How to put tape in

1.-Put tape in tape drive's slot
2.- push it in

Basically just as easy as it was to put a VHS tape in a VCR...

Unless you are talking about a tape library, with I/O or mail slots, etc...

In any case, be more "specific" on your question, ie: what vendor, model and type of tape drive

Install a equalizer to Teac Ag D9100 Receiver

From what I can tell (from photos), you'd hook an equalizer in the Tape 1 or Tape 2 path, where the EQ takes its input from the receiver's Tape 1/2 output and the EQ feeds its output to the receiver's Tape 1/2 input. When you want to switch the EQ into the signal path, you just push the tape monitor button for whichever tape path you hooked up.

Can anybody tell me about removal of a front wheel 2001 xvs1100 classic

There are 2 different designs for the front fork that I will explain. First, you will have to elevate the front tire off of the ground. Usually a motorcycle jack will work the best. A regular floor jack will work provided you can get it low enough to clear the frame and a block of wood to destribute the weight evenly on the frame. Grab a roll of tape. Any tape will do, electrical, paper, scotch. Like I said, there are 2 variations of forks and axle combinations. The first is bolts located on the bottom of the axles. Simply back them out and tap the axle out with a screwdriver. The easyest way to tell if this is the axle you have, is the axle will not be completely round on both ends. The other axle is a screw out axle. A simpler design. You will have a hex bolt on one side. The oposite end is threaded and backs out like a giant bolt. You do NOT have to remove the brakes to remove the wheel. As you drop the wheel after removing the axle, simply put some tape over the brake pads to keep them from sliding out. Remember to remove the tape when you put the wheel back on. That should do it. Good luck.

I need a diagram for changing spark plugs on 2002 diamante

Hi,
Get some tape - mark each spark plug wire with a piece of tape long enough to go around the plug wire and an extra 2 inches - -on that two inches left over - write the cylinders on the tape with a majig marker - 1 2 3 4 5 6 and so forth - then put the wire back on the plug. For settings - call the dealer of the car with the VIN number in hand. They will tell you of any changes and the exact plug to buy.
Thanks

Sony handy cam

If your Sony tells you it is recording yet on playback there is nothing there other than a blank screen, I had this problem and this is how I solved it.
1. Clean the heads two or three times with head cleaning kit
2. Leave the tape door open, with tape out or in, and warm the camera up for about 2 hours minimum.
3. Put in a previously recorded tape and see if it will display that film. If not, repeat 1 and 2. Persevere.
4. Once Stage 3 works (you might have a few "dirty" lines on it for a few seconds, and it is playing normally, try recording.
This worked for me. The heads were dirty and the camera cold but I persevered and thankfully it is OK (but for how long?)
Hope this helps. It seems to be rooted around dirty heads and coldness.

No Compatible media found in HP Tape Drive

Try a brand new tape fresh out the wrapper.

If that doesnt work make sure you are using the right drive in your backup software!

It sounds like a message often seen in windows backup where you have selected the wrong tape drive from the list and it just tells you "No compatible media found" when actually the drive listed isnt even connected to your system still

PUT THE CORRECTION TAPE ON CORRECTLY

First, remove the ribbon. Now look at the left side of the printhead. (thats the unit that moves back and forth) You will notice that, above the spindel that you put the correction tape on, and towards the platen, on the black plastic, there is a recessed flat place about the width of the correction tape with slight serrations in it. This is the guide for the corr. tape. There is one like this on the right side also.
Put the corr. tape on the spindle, keeping slight tension on the tape, give it a 1/2 turn so the underside (dull) side is facing to the left, and put it in the guide. Then you put the tape behind the two metal "fingers" that are sticking up in front of the printwheel, and then into the guide on the right side. Then put the other corr. tape spool on the post on the right side, and turn it until the red "leader" on the tape is past the middle of the printwheel. The dull side of the corr. tape is the side that does the corrections, so make sure that side is facing towards the platen. Make sure the ribbon goes behind the metal fingers also. The tape and the ribbon should both be between the fingers and the metal cardholder.
