Whatever button i press the status light flashes and nothing happens?

Even when the projector is switched off i can't use the buttons to switch it on. Every button makes the status (yellow) light switch on. Any ideas will be very appreciated.

Hi 1) Check that the power cable is plugged in and that the power button on the projector cabinet or the remote control is on. See pages E-16 and 17 in the manual http://www.fixya.com/user-guide/p155892,m5221,gm34/NEC-VT460-Multimedia-Projector.aspx 2) Ensure that the lamp cover or lamp housing is installed correctly. See page E-30. 3) Check to see if the projector has overheated or the lamp has reached the end of its usable life. If there is insufficient ventilation around the projector or if the room where you?re presenting is particularly warm, move the projector to a cooler location 4) You have pressed control panel key when Control Key Lock is enabled good luck

Why does my Mitsubishi XD221U projector click and blink red/green on the power light when turned on?

All projectors run a self diagnosis when you press the power button. This does a kind of "pre flight check". If some component isn't working right then the projector won't fire up.

There's no mystery to these status lights. The answer to what they show is written in the manual. Sorry to be blunt, but if you had bothered to read your manual then you would know that red green flashing power light means that the lamp housing cover isn't closed properly. If it is the status light, then it means that the lamp has gone past its due time for replacement. I only know this because I read the bit in the manual just now about the Status Lights.

The projector turns on but won't project any light through the lens.

If this is a NEC VT series projector, Change the lamp. When if it continues to blink amber and not project and image after installing a new lamp check the lamp cover to see if the micro switch tab on the lamp cover broke off. Some models have a built in lens cover. If the cover is not slid over to open completely the light may not turn on.

How to reset lamp after replacing the lamp on epson emp x5

1. Make sure, your projector is on standby.
2. While holding down the projector's Comp Sync + and Comp Tracking + buttons, press and hold down the power button.
3. After status light 1, 2, and 3 flash ON and OFF at least three times, release the Comp Sync + and the power button. The flashing lamps status indicate that the lamptimer is reset.

My NEC MT1060R will not turn on and the status indicator is flashing red four times, before and after I changed out the lamp.

Some of the NEC units have a standby status when the lamplife has exceeded its safe limit, the unit I had needed the off button pressing for up to 20 seconds to reset the lamplife and allow the unit to be switched back on. There should be info for this in your manual. (It could have been the on button, can't remember now)

Good luck
