Simpson Silencio 850 leaks - the water doesn't seem to stop filling. Replaced all seals, but it keeps filling until it leaks and we have to stop it manually.

Hi, I've just purchased a 2nd hand model of your dishwasher. mine actually leaks from the black lining underneath. I've just patched it with some Sellys bathroom sealant. I don't know more about your problem but sounds like it could be something not timing out to stop the water, maybe buy a new 1 :P

I've got a Simpson washing machine but when I filled it up with water there's water coming out from the bottom of the machine and the power just turn it self off

Check the water pump. If the pump shaft seals have worn out, it will leak water. I recently replaced a pump for a client with a similar problem but it wasn't shutting down from a short circuit caused by water. The pumps for Simpson machines are still in production and are quite easy to replace (find an appliance reconditioning shop and get a good used unit - it will save you some money). Also check the pump hoses for splits/leaks. Second place to look is the main agitator shaft seals for the wash bowl. This is a more involved repair and will require disassembly of the wash bowl/agitator to access it. There will also be a bearing on the shaft that should be replaced at the same time (washing powder is alkaline and will attack metal - once the seals protecting the bearings have failed, the bearing will rust out) Unfortunately the Simpson is a tough beast and isn't easy to tilt over to see where the water is coming from. You shouldn't need to turn the power on to find the leak. Just prop up one side of the machine with 2 blocks of wood etc and dump a few buckets of water into it and observe the underside with a torch (if it has been leaking substantially there should be tell-tale water stains in the vicinity of the leak)

Water keeps running, toilet not shutting off totally, tank will fill then we have to pull up float and hold it a while to stop water, doesn't overflow, just keeps running, doesn't shut off...

Hi snowjobs847...
Try resetting your float level to a lower water level in the tank, the extra pressure put on the seal may make it reseal.
If the above did not work:
You need to replace your "ballcock"...the ballcock (inlet valve) is non-repairable, has to be replaced with a new one if you cannot get it to stop leaking.

How to replace the door seal on a Simpson Silencio 850 Dishwasher Model No. 82B850WH. The part No. that I have for the door seal is 0208400158G & is Electrolux part number

The around the tank seal just pushes into the groove. make sure that you copy the way the old one comes out. The bottom of the door seal is a bit awkward. Thsi has some screws that are difficult to access. Take the door liner off and possibly two of the hinge screws so that the door can swing up at the bottom to allow easy access to the screws. You might get someone to help ny holding the door while you do this. Check tah the new seal fits the same way as the old one comes out. Then reassemble

Simpson silencio dishwasher over filling . have c...

Clean the filters and filter bowl and if that doesn't solve the problem check the pipes to the pressure switches on the bottom right side (as you face it ) are not blocked and check that the pressure switches are working by blowing in their tubes and checking for a "click" sound and test with a multimeter for an open and closing circuit.

Leaking dishwasher simpon silencio 850. not alot of water 100mls or so. can't see where it is leaking from, there are some water marks on the front right underside.

Commonly leak from door seal- check seal for rips, notches. Also common to leak from the black retainer that the door seal sits it-remove the seal (they just pull off) and shine a torch from inside the dishwasher around the back of the seal retainer, and see if there are any gaps around the outside of the seal retainer. Repair with silicone sealant if any gaps. Other things to check- check the screws that hold the top basket runner on are tight- there are two holes in the runners, move runner until you can see screw, check they are tight. Also check water level is not too high inside machine whenits running- there are three vertical lines on the bottom spray arm support tube- water level should not be above top line. If still leaking, call in the experts!! Good luck!!

Dishwasher simpson (silencio 850) model 52B850SF * 04

Check that the pressure switch tubes are not blocked on the underside of the machine on the right hand side and that the pressure switches are working when you blow down their tubes. You will hear them click on and off.
