Question about Creative Labs Nomad MuVo TX MP3 Player

1 Answer

Two MuVo TX FM, two different problems

I got two identicals MP3 players MuVo TX FM 512 MB (blue one), with different problems. 1) The first one is simple: It felt on the ground and doesn´t work any more. Is there any technical support in Brazil (or any other location), to fix it, or should through it away? 2) The second is curious. It was never damaged. But when I push the menu key to access the menu (skip folders, and etc). It swiches off. To skip from onw folder to another I ought to skip every music, and I can't access the menu to use other features of my mp3 creative device. Any sugestions??

You can certainly try to send the units to creative labs But I'll bet you 10 to 1 that they will say that its not going to be worth repairing. The main reason is that these sound both like major repairs where they are gonna need like a button and case assy and the other one that was dropped has a broken or two pcb assy or other broken connections. The repair dept figures on these smaller players that if the repair cant be done by software means meaning not taking apart a unit and replaceing parts the manufacturer sees this unit as a throwaway. Sorry for the bad news. Now a more expensive type unit with a built in hard drive they will open and repair some of the problems as these cost more . Good Luck

Shuts Down

My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.

Creative MuVo TX FM player I/O error

You could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250 to get your computer to recognize it again.

Once you have done that, try installing the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.

Of course, you'll have to get it to talk to your computer before you can update the firmware.
