    The printer works fine expect the LCD is distorted eventually turned black.  The printer has not been dropped or damaged.

Error on the display -
I had the exact same issue with one of these printers. 83C00020 on the display with a blue background. printer will not power off.
Try this - Press and hold the OK button then press the power button to reset the printer .
I did this and it powerd on ok and is now working fine.
