First problem is that if you ever have a problem with anything electronic you dont ignore it going on and off or you dont hit it to get it to start working. Thats a true indicator that something is wrong and/or somethings about to break and take everything with it. When it first started to go on and off You could have made sure that the speaker lines were not loose or touching one another or another big problem like this is the speaker wires and how they are ran thru the vehicle sometimes the vibration will rub off the insulation and /or pinch the wire and short it out agains the chassis of the vehicle. The best way for you to trouble shoot this is to first have someone check the speakers and lines. Make sure the inputs are good and disconnect the output lines(speakers wires) from the amp and put a dc meter on one of the outputsw. And have someone turn o0n the power. If theres any dc there for even a spit sec then the amp has blow output devices and probably also bad drivers and predrivers. At this point find out how much your local repair person would charge you for an estamate. or contact Boss at 323.890.3700 ext. 2770 Good Luck
