Question about Bissell 1698 PowerSteamer ProHeat Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum
Steamer is not putting out any spray. I have checked the belts - they are fine. I have cleaned the fileters. The water tank seems to fit ok - although it doesn't seem to snap in solidily.
If it seems like the tank does not fit in securely, the round gasket that goes around the valve at the bottom of the tank may have come off and actually be in the hole in the bottom of the vacuum base. It looks like it belongs there but you can pull it out with some needle nosed pliers. After you remove it, put it around the valve on the bottom of the tank, then it will fit into the hole again and everything should seal correctly. Mine was not spraying and would not suction well. figured this out and now it works great again.

I completely disassembled my Bissel ProHeat only to find that the little white water propeller (or whatever you want to call it) in the front, near the brush and under the black case, is not pushing out a lot of water. Maybe they go bad easily?

Hi check if there is a micro switch triggerd by the tank - make sure it hits it maybe the heat element have retired if its not this - then the steam system is clogged good luck

If water comes out of hose, the fault is in the handle or the heater.
try putting pad on the end of the handle plunger to make the plunger longer to reach the valve.
or the spray jets are blocked

I need to get started. I don't have anything happening no water no shampoo not a thing. there is power but no cleaning action
how do you test the pump on a rug doctor? Mine is spraying but taking seemingly forever to empty the tank. just doesn't seem to be putting out the proper volume of cleaning solution.
