Describe your HP Pavilion dv9000z 17" Notebook Laptop PC PC Notebook Problem I have a problem with my HP Pavillion dv9000 wireless, to be specific the wireless button cannot change from orange to blue.

This is very common for the HP dv9000 series laptops. The problem is the controller chip. You can either do a reflow or replace the motherboard.
check out the DIY guide from www.net2005.com if you wan't to try fixing it yourself. Or get your self an USB wireless card and problem solved.

My wirless is not working
The wireless switch is located just behind and to the left of the wireless LED. The wireless LED is located on the left of the bottom half of your laptop looking from the front between the battery, power and harddrive LED's and the audio jack sockets.
