Need manual for Travel Companion Model S1500 Alarm Clock

Travel alarm clocks can have varying instructions, depending on the type of clock you are using. Here are some tips for use that will apply to any alarm clock.

  1. Power source
    • Travel alarm clocks will need to have some sort of power source. Depending on the type of alarm clock, it might be battery-powered or it might have a cord that needs to be plugged in. Battery-powered alarm clocks can take mini watch batteries, AAA batteries or sometimes AA batteries. Travel alarm clocks, because of their tiny size, usually have the small batteries that need to be bought from a watch store or a dollar store. Before you leave, make sure you have a working power source and can turn it on.
    Changing the time
    • After you reach your final destination, power the alarm clock on. Now you'll need to set the time and date correctly. Check a watch, cell phone or television to get the exact time and locate the buttons or dials on your alarm clock. On some, there will be a "time" or an "hour" button you need to press and hold to activate the alarm time change. While you are holding it down, turn the dial, press the hour button or press the (+) button until you notice a time change. On others, simply pressing the hour or minute button will let you change the time shown.
    Setting AM/PM
    • The AM/PM option is critical in setting your alarm clock correctly. Make sure the LCD display on your clock has a light beside the correct AM or PM setting, or look for the letters AM or PM on the display. If you get this wrong, the alarm won't go off in the morning!
    Setting alarm time
    • To set the alarm time, look for a button or a switch that says alarm. If there is a switch, move it to the alarm setting. If it is a button, you'll need to hold it down until the time starts flashing, signaling time to change the hours and minutes to the desired alarm time, or hold it down while you press the hours and minutes buttons to reach the alarm time you want.
    Turn alarm on
    • Now double-check that your regular and alarm times are correct by switching the switch back and forth again, or by pressing the alarm/time buttons long enough to read the time set. There should be a picture of a bell somewhere on your LCD display showing that the alarm is set to "on." If there isn't, look for the on/off alarm button and move it to the correct position.
    Music options
    • The last step is finding the alarm wake-up option. Not all travel alarm clocks have this option, but if yours does there will be a switch or button that lets you choose to wake up by a buzzer, the radio, a CD, or another device.

I am using my mother's Elgin 3400E travel alarm

On my Elgin alarm clock, you just push the nap button and it will add 15 minute increments for a nap. I haven't figured out how to turn it off if I change my mind or wake up earlier than I set it.

Need set up instructions for the KATEC #38 travel alarm clock

I bought one of these for $3.00. I found it in the clearance sale aisle at my local Wal-Mart. The instructions refer to it as being an "Automobile Clock."

In the instructions, "M" refers to the "Mode" button, "S" refers to the "Set" button, and "D" refers to the "Date" button. These are the instructions that came my KATEC #38 travel alarm clock:

1. In normal mode, there will show hour, minute, second and week. Push "D" to show date and push "S" to show alarm-time.

2. Adjust alarm-time: Push "M" two times to enter into alarm mode. Push "S" to choose hour and minute. Push "D" to adjust the right time. Finally, push "M" to return.

3. Adjust real time: Push "M" three times to enter into adjust time mode. Push "S" to choose second, minute, hour, day, week, and month in order. Push "D" to adjust correspondence number for right volume. Finally, push "M" to return to norm-al mode.

4. Sport Function: Push "M" for one time into sport watch function mode. The beginning state is show as 0:00:00. Push "D" to enter into recording time. Push "D" again to stop. Push "S" to return to the beginning mode 0:00:00.

5. Adjust ON/OFF alarm mode. In normal state, push "S" and "D". You can choose alarm on or off. When alarm operates, the alarm symbol will be displayed on.

I have a 'relaxed nature sounds lcd clock' with no instructions

Moderately difficult, but not impossible. ;) I picked up this clock @ second hand store with no instructions and was able to figure it out how to set it in about 15 minutes. I liked the calendar feature on the face and the LCD (as opposed to LED because I prefer my bedroom dark when I sleep).
When setting this clock, one of the keys is to pay attention to the the icons displayed on the face toward the lower left. Default "MODE" is time set. To set the time: Press "SET" followed by either "HOUR" or "MIN" while the display is flashing to increment the hours and the minutes to the correct time. As previously state, the default "MODE" is time set.
Pressing "MODE" one time accesses a secondary clock that you might use if you regularly travel to another time zone (new icon w/ 2 clocks appears). Setting the secondary clock uses the same method above.
Pressing "MODE" a second time accesses the first alarm setting (alarm clock icon starts flashing). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a third time accesses the secondary alarm setting (second alarm clock icon appears and begins flashing). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a fourth time accesses a timer (hourglass icon appears). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a fifth time allows you to set the calendar (calendar year appears where the digital clock display was). Press "SET" to change the date: "HOUR" increments the month; "MIN" increments the day; "MODE" increments the year. Press "SET" again to exit.
Pressing "MODE" a sixth time returns to the default time set mode.
I hope this helps someone! God's blessings in Jesus Christ! ~Thomas

Westclox Travel Alarm

After selecting either TIME, DATE, or ALARM at the top of the screen, use the stylus to touch and hold the large time display. Hold it there for about 5 seconds and the clock will beep and the time display will start flashing. Then you can touch either the hours or minutes and it will increase by either 1 hour or 1 minute accordingly. When the DATE is selected, it shows the year in the large display. Again, holding the stylus on the year diaply for about 5 seconds will enter into the chqange mode. IN all cases, to exit the change mode simply select one of the other selections across the top: TIME, DATE, ALARM.
