What brand is a guitar with a serial number of 2201958

That serial number matches a Fender made in Korea,
between 1988 and 1996.

It also matches an Ibanez made in Korea in 1922.

SERIAL NUMBER LOOKUP FENDER MONTARA ACCOUSTIC/ELECTRIC S/N 6514267

Your guitar was made in Korea sometime during 1988-1996. That's as close as we can get.

Korean Fenders of this period were made at one of three plants, but serial numbering was chaotic and followed no set scheme. Quality also was seemingly variable.

I have found a 12 string f-80-12 acoustic with 2 serial numbers , 1st one is is 00797 , the second one is on a fender sticker inside the hole and its number is 7937085

The first number belongs to a Fender made in Fullerton in 1954, so not your guitar since the F-80-12 was introduced in 1976.

The nearest we can get with the second number is to a Fender made in Korea sometime from 1988 to 1996. No closer records appear to have been kept.

Fender banjo kd00060048

It is an FB-58 I believe. Since Fender doesn't actually make their banjos, Samick made the ones in Korea, Fender just put their name on it. ...I doubt you'll find anything meaningful in the serial number. their website goes up to the point where production moved from Japan to Korea to China.

The k in your serial number means it was made in Korea...which was sometime within the 2000's
