Classique dishwasher, 3 weeks old. turned it on and chose dishwashing programme. Started ok but then beeping sound and has gone to pots programme. Light jus flashes. Stopped. Cannot reset. tried turning it off at power. Still cannot reset. Any ideas?

If the END or DRYING indicator on the programme progress display is flashing, you can probably rectify the fault yourself.
After rectifying an END or DRYING fault, press the button for the wash programme that has been started.
The wash programme continues. If the fault is displayed again, than check water leakage in the battom of dishwasher.

Malfunction: END and DRYING on the programme progress display are flashing simultaneously.
Possible causes: The leak prevention system has been triggered.
Remedy: Try to find and repair water leakage otherwise close the tap and call customer service.

Sounds like it may be time for a new dishwasher. Probably will cost more to repair your old one than it's worth

This means that the Dishwashers has detected a condition it needs to check. Press "Cancel" to clear the display and to stop the beeping sound, then try turning the Dishwashers off and on again. If you still see the "F," turn off the power to your Dishwashers and wait five minutes before turning it on again. If you hear the beep or see the "F" when you try to washing again, please call your authorized provider for service.

A few things you could do.

Is this happening with both drawers.

Take a clean damp cloth and wipe the switches and the inside panel.

Get a couple of Finish dishwasher cleaner kits from the local woolworths/ safeway and run each drawer separately with one kit in each. You will have to select at least the 99 minute cycle.
This should help with having cleaner dishes.

I had exactly the problem you describe in my < year old water-conserving LG dishwasher. What I found was that (to conserve $$) I had bought ultra-cheap, generic detergent powder.

As soon as I switched back to a brand name detergent powder (Electrosol or Cascade) my problem gone.
