If you are using lcd monitor then it will not do any damage to it. however, if it is a crt type of monitor then yes it can or may damage the monitor. if the speakers do not that they are shielded then you should assume that they are not and should be placed away from the crt monitor because the speakers magnetic field will affect the crt magnetic filed used to display the picture on the screen. speakers with high magnetic fields and are unshielded should kept away from crt type monitors! lcd monitors do not use magnetic fields to bring a picture to the screen so it will not affect these types of monitors.
you nay also check your user's or owner's manual for more information on you speakers and maybe check any of the manufactures web site as well. but it better safe the sorry to keep the speakers away from the monitor in question.

What type of cable do i need to hook up my speakers and if i need an amplifier too and what kind or type? theater research TR 2810

A strand copper cable in clean condition, a guage from 10-16AWG will suffice. Choose a solid state amplifier with a high damping factor, preferably no less than 100 and able to operate with low distortion with up to 100 watt loads.

I see that these have a side firing driver so keep in mind there placement distance from side walls; going too close may give a bloomy or boomy sound.

We cant find the right cords or hookups to our speakers and how do they hook up to your tv

Speakers don't hook directly to a TV unless your TV is unique and has its own amplifiers (not likely). Speakers are driven by amps, amps are usually inside a receiver and IT would connect to your TV to receive sound program. However, the TV usually has serious audio limitations (or we wouldn't need receivers and after-market speakers, right?) so why not get the audio IT monitors from the source itself and conenct it directly to the controlling receiver, which specializes in audio?

No SOund for my TR-2810 Theater Research System

Easy sound check, if you have two other known working speakers connect them to see if you get any sound. If you dont then its either the wire is Bad or possible bad connection on the amplifier speaker outs. Confirm connections are properly placed. Try again with test speaker. Basically just verify the known so the unknown can be uncovered, metaphorically speaking. Do this and you will be one with the speakers. Muawhahahaa!!!

Not to look down upon your speakers, however realize these are those junk ones getting sold out of vans in home dopot parking lots throughout the country or at least in my neck of the woods. I was approached by one of these cheap speaker selling vans a few years back. In fact I have a friend who had some of these sitting in his living room. Said they were an old roommate's speakers. I said let's give these shitz a listen and boy did they stink. All I remeber was asking if the bass was up. This was an onkio amp and said yes and they sounded like crud. Unplugged and disconnected within minutes. Garbage!!

In summary do your research before purchasing, question the unquestionable before believing anything. This reads beyond speakers. Best of wishes.......
