Unfortunately, the TI-30Xa calculator does not handle algebraic expressions. If you are interested in knowing more about the capabilities of the calculator, follow the link to download the guide book.
You cannot. The TI-30XA is a simple calculator lacking any symbolic algebra or equation processing. However, if your task is "given a value for x, what is the value for y" for the equation you give, you can rearrange it a little:
Thus, if you want to determine the value of y for x = 16, key in 5 [-] 16 [÷] 4 [=] and get the result y = 1. To double check, substitute x and y in the original equation: 16 + 4 x 1 = 16 + 4 = 20.
I have a few questions and then I should be able to help you. In the equation you want to solve there is a letter g. Is this supposed to be there? Does this represent units such as grams? If this is the only units in this equation the answer will be mass not volume. Lets ignore the units and just punch in the numbers. Assuming the equation you want to solve is 3.70/2.50 x 10^-6. The buttons you need to push are 3.7/2.5 EE 6 [+/-] =. The EE button is the exponent button and the [+/-] button is the change sign button, located just below the 3. The change sign button changes the sign of the proceeding character, in this case it changes the 6 into a -6. This calculator will calculate the exponents before it does the multiplication or division so you don't need to use any parentheses for this equation. I hope this helps you out.
