I tried to reset the combo, but it WILL not turn on when I press the power button. REF: My combo wiil not turn on and all three lights (rec., on timer, prog timer) are illuminated in the front. Help!
A couple of easy things you could try is to unplug the TV from the AC over night, to let it discharge, and see if theres any difference, and also try to connect it to another power outlet. anything else is a bit tricky - if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set to a repair shop. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Its possible that you got some dry joints, look for poor soldered joints on the high voltage side, and resolder them. particularly around the high-heat producing parts and flyback, h-driver and other transformers, etc.... and look for obviously burnt or mis-shaped components. Good luck

(but the code depends on which remote you have, check Comcast's website for more info)
http://www.comcast.com/corporate/customers/customer_support/remotes.html
You can also try to manually search for the code:
Turn the TV on
Press TV or AUX
Press and hold "Setup" until TV/AUX blinks twice
Enter 9911 and press "Power" using the Comcast remote
Press "Channel Up" until device powers off
Press "Setup" to lock in that code
Please let me know if you found this helpful.
Have a great day!

the t.v. was on, playing a dvd just fine, then turned off, and won't turn back on again. It has power. I press "on" and the red light comes on for one second, and then the things shuts down again. over and over, same thing.
I have a Toshiba MD13P1 TV/DVD Combo. When unit is powered on, nothing displays on screen. When you press the DVD eject button, the screen displays for 1/2 of a second whatever show is playing on the whatever TV channel the TV is set to - then goes dark again. Unit won't stay powered on. Anyone else have this problem with a TV/DVD combo unit?
