Does the camera blink any icons on the screen or anything? somtimes when i try to take pictures to fast with my camera it will blink the lighting bolt meaning its charging the flash so i have to wait. Once its ready it will work. Maybe its not charging the flash and if you turn the flash off it may work? try this and see if it starts to work. If it has a line threw the lighting bolt that is the icon for flash off.

Try replacing the batteries with new ones, and if it persists you should contact casio customer support. hopefully you're still within the warranty period, because they will over charge even on minor repairs(they all do). there is a problem with the shutter mechanism, either electronic in nature, or mechanical. the click you're hoping to hear is the shutter release, and its not releasing. give them a call, get a repair estimate, and if its too high try finding a repair person with good hands that wants to have a go at it. nothing but good luck ;]

What type and size memory card? The EX-Z50 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Every time I take a picture it says card error even bought a new card

What type and size memory card? The EX-Z50 works with MMC and SD cards. While higher-capacity SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work.

Brightness of the monitor screen changes when a picture is taken, the final picture looks blurr. Is there any solution?

Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and giving the camera time to lock in the focus before pressing the rest of the way? If not, the good pictures were just luck.

The overall image is out of focus
If Pan focus is being used, the image may be out of focus; use Auto Focus Mode.
Pan focus uses a focus range of several feet, so the image might be blurry but will be captured faster. This could occur in the EX-Z30, EX-Z40, EX-Z50, EX-Z55 and EX-Z57.
If digital zoom was chosen and the image becomes unclear, only use optical zoom, and move closer.

Check the owners manual; hope this helps.

I'm looking for a driver for vista, can you please help? (camera casio Exilim EX-Z50 Digital)

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.
