Hello,
You can find detailed instructions with pictures and text on how to install this in the quick installation guide found on the manufacture website. Here is a link to it: TL-WPS510U Quick Installation Guide V2
You can also find instructions in the full user guide: TL-WPS510U User Guide V1
And here is the setup wizard for 32bit windows: PSWizard LPR and 64bit windows:PrintServer_Setup_Wizard
The instructions for windows Vista are what you will look at for windows 7.
Regards,
Chris
Try plugging a ethernet cable from the print server to your router then run the setup wizard. That should be the easiest way to do it.

Hello,
No it would bypass the print server and serve directly over ethernet. If you have an ethernet port on your printer it will act like its own print server providing you install the printer drivers and configure it for that instead of USB. I must have looked at a newer version of the TL-WPS510U that had ethernet, sorry, my bad.
OK, you might have to reset the TLWPS510U if it was connected to another router at one time. To do that leave it plugged into the printer with the printer on then press and hold the reset on the print server about 10 seconds then let it go. The unit should now be at factory defaults. Try again to connect with the included manufacture documentation.

Chris

Hello,
Those settings are good, your IP addesses tell me the devices are on the same subnet and should be able to talk to each other. Can you try going to your internet browser and type http://192.168.0.10 in your address bar (URL) and press enter. This should bring up the TP-Link config page, or if it doesn't have any try opening a command prompt (start menu ' all programs ' Accessories ' command prompt. and type ping 192.168.0.10. You should get a reply. If you do that means your computers can talk to the print server and the issue might be in your printer drivers and not the server configuration. If you don't get a reply it could mean your computers have firewalled the traffic or you have AP isolation enabled in your router. AP isolation will allow wireless devices to see the internet but no device can interact with each other so therefore, no printing.
If the ping works I suggest you try reinstalling your printer driver or go into the printer settings in control panel ' Devices and Printers ' right click your printer icon and press printer preferences. Now click the ports tab. scroll the list till you find the item with the check mark in it. Press configure port. Verify that the printer IP address is that of your print server (192.168.0.10) if it isn't type that in there and press ok and try printing. If it doesn't let you configure the port try pressing add port and select Standard TCP/IP and press new port. Now type the server IP in there and name the port what you want. Press next and the wizard will try to figure out what kind of printer is connected. It might take a few minutes for this to complete. It should find your setting and when done just press Finish and now try printing.
Sorry for all these back and forth messages. It would be a lot easier if I had remote access to your computer so I could check it out without trying to run thru all the scenarios blind folded.

Usually answered in minutes!
I tried all of those but I cannot connect to the print server.
The TL-WPS510U does not have an ethernet port. With the print server connected to the printer, if I connect the printer to the router via ethernet, will I still get to the print server?

Just a comment here, I had the print server connected previously using a different router. That router has failed. My issues started with the new router.
I have reset the server several times....still cannot connect. Is it possibly my router settings? I'm using the 192.168.0.*** IP configurations. The router is 192.168.0.1. When I print the config page for the server, the IP is 192.168.0.10 (default setting). I have the security turned on in the router settings with an SSID and password. Does any of this info help?
None of that helped.
I finally fixed it though. It was the default security setting in the router. The print server does not support the default security encription type of the router. After changing the security option on the router from WPA-PSK(TKIP)+WPA2-PSK(AES) to WPA2-PSK(AES) the router and server were able to communicate. I had the correct SSID and password - just had to have the correct security option.
Finally have the printer installed and printing from 2 laptops and one PC.
Maybe the newer servers support more security options but this one did not.
